Gluten-Free Cherry Clafoutis Recipe

About the Recipe

A Gluten-Free Cherry Clafoutis is a classic French dessert that combines sweet, juicy cherries with a delicate custard-like batter. This elegant yet simple dessert is naturally beautiful and incredibly easy to prepare, making it perfect for summer gatherings, brunches, afternoon tea, or a light dessert after dinner. The cherries become tender and flavorful as they bake, while the creamy batter puffs around the fruit and develops a lightly golden top.

Unlike traditional cakes, clafoutis has a soft, silky texture that falls somewhere between a custard and a pancake. This gluten-free version delivers all the charm of the original while remaining suitable for those following a gluten-free lifestyle. The addition of vanilla, almond extract, and fresh lemon zest enhances the flavor and complements the sweetness of the cherries beautifully.
